Thomson Perrett continues to be at the forefront of golf development with 4 projects currently under construction in Qinzhou, Xian, Wujiang and Dalian and several in the planning stages.

Xian – The redesign and construction of the Yajian GC in Xian is now complete with the first 9 holes open for play while the back nine grows in. The new course which is more strategic and challenging than the former course has been embraced the members and attracting great patronage. The mountain setting and the extensive lake provide a great sense of place and add to the enjoyment of the golf experience.

Wujiang – The Wujiang International Golf Club is a government funded 36 hole development west of Shanghai. The development of the first course, The Lotus Course is well underway with all 18 holes shaped and 9 holes and the driving range grassed. The impressive “Suzhou styled“Clubhouse is also well advanced and will be one of the biggest in the region. The second course, The Gingko Course will start construction in early in 2013.

Dalian –  The Eagle Valley Golf Course in Dalian is ready to open and Thomson Perrett will make their pre opening inspection this month.. Originally designed back in 2001, this course promises to be a hidden gem. The course is located in a secluded valley away from the hustle and bustle of Dalian City. It features bent grass fairways and links style rolling fairways and greens. A series of natural creeks cross the course setting up some very challenging shots whist adding to the beauty and ambience of the place.

Wujiang – Construction is well advanced with this 36 hole development being built for the local Government. The courses are being built on low lying land adjacent to a large public water storage. Grassing is scheduled to be completed by October on the first 18 with the construction to commence on the second 18 at the end of 2012. The courses are being grassed with Paspalum grass due to the salinity of the water supply.
