China Golf Boom continues

Thomson Perrett continue to make a mark in China and currently have projects under construction in Dalian, Xian, Hainan Island and Wujiang. Others on the drawing board include courses at Luohe, Qinzhou and Changzhou. The golf boom in China shows no sign of abating in the short term as the Chinese embrace the game.Whilst the first generation of courses were built to serve Japanese and Korean residents now the courses are targeting the affluent home grown Chinese. Most of the world’s leading golf architects have projects there and the standards are rising all the time. China is also now a booming market for Golf Tourism as exiting new courses are balanced by traditional tourist activities of Historic sites and Cultural pursuits.

Mandalay Beveridge development proves successful

Sale Golf Club development launched

On 28 July, Ross Perrett, Ian Stanley and the Mayor of Sale launched The Vantage Point development where Thomson Perrett will be building a new Championship course for the Sale Golf Club.  Just 20 minutes from 90 mile beach and with stunning panoramic views over the Ramsar wetlands to the Great Dividing Range, the development is already proving to be very popular with strong land sales. Having worked with the developers for 5 years to get the project to launch stage, Thomson Perrett is looking forward to getting started on the new golf course.  Click here for more information on the development.

Building Architecture partnership takes off

Ross Perrett and his Perrett Ewert Leaf partners William Leaf and Toby Ewert are busy working on some exciting building architecture projects.  They have recently designed residential buildings in South Yarra, Armadale and Inverloch and  are currently working on a number of commercial projects, including a clubhouse in China.  Perrett Ewert Leaf promote a brand of architecture that is specific to site and programmatic requirements tailored to the client’s design aspirations.  Click here to check out their website.
